Progress Description
Part of the TreeHood Project is to train communities on planting techniques, how to restore and maintain soil organic nutrients through organic cultural practices and on protection of the farmland against bushfires. The communities will use the knowledge and skills acquired to enhance their farming for high and quality food production. This will help promote food security, increase household income and will in effect contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 1&2.
Also, the trees planted in communities will serve as wind breaks to protect the community shelter against Perennial rain storm disasters.
